Ectopic pregnancies are a rare but devastating condition that occurs when an embryo fails to implant properly and instead grows inside a fallopian tube, leading to catastrophic bleeding and often resulting in rupture and severe hemorrhaging.
According to data from ProPublica, over 200 women have died from ectopic pregnancies since 2020, compared to approximately 100 in the preceding six years – a near doubling that warrants urgent scrutiny.
