The Talent Trap: Hong Kong's Labor Shortage Woes Hong Kong's labor shortage is not as severe as initially thought, according to Secretary for Labour and Welfare Chris Sun Yuk han.
The city will be short of 130,000 workers by 2028, a reduction from the projected 180,000 shortfall.
The decrease in labor shortage is attributed to artificial intelligence and government policies aimed at importing top talent.
